CURRENT MISSION

ABOUT ME

outgoing, happy, spontaneous, attentive, but at certain moments I need 'me-time' like any other person.

Music, Movies, and Books

I studied Dutch language and Literature, so I'm a booklover. At te moment I'm reading The Underground Railroad by Colson Whitehead and On the Road by Jack Kerouac. I have favorite writers from my mothers country of origin(Surinam) called Edgar Cairo and Astrid Roemer. Furthermore I'm a big fan of Norwegian writer Karl Ove Knausgård and I finished reading a book by Jamaican author Marlon James. To me, reading is a way of learning about other cultures and history. I recently read an amazing book about a Georgian/Russian family from 1890 - 2007 from Nino Haratschwili, already one of my favorite books I’ve read!

Music: electronic music, reggae dancehall(Konshens, Aidonia), some Nigerian popmusic, black metal/shoegaze. I actually have a very diverse taste in music. The only thing I can't stand for too long is experimental jazz or trash metal.

Movies: arthouse mostly, but I like thrillers/drama too

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seeing the Bromo vulcano in Indonesia.

Cooking, love for food and having drinks or chillout on the couch with movies
