COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

(started not within CS network) hosting international volunteers coming to projects in my city, got hosted as international volunteer by local voluntary organisations' volunteers since 1998 in EU. Now enjoying CS experience. Many thanks to all our hosts, guests and friends!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Being part of the crew in ZKYak sailing races and meeting with legendary Vladimir Musatov who built Hetman Sahaidachny 60ft. sailboat and sailed Whitbread Round the World Race on it.

Driving 36ft. yacht and becoming a licensed boat skippers with 3 friends together ;) Hoooooooray! New adventures ahead!

1. Ukraine possesses the heaviest silver coin named “10 years of hryvnia revival”. It was made in 2006 and weighs 1000 grams.

2. The first constitution in the world was created in Ukraine by Pylyp Orlyk. This day was on April 5, 1710, when he was proclaimed the Hetman of Zaporizhia troops. His constitution name was “the Constitution of the rights and freedoms of Zaporizhia army”. Whilst in the USA the first constitution appeared in 1787, and in France and Poland it appeared in 1791.

4. Mikhail Bulgakov considered Kyiv the most beautiful city in the world.

5. The eminent shod flee is in Ukraine. You can see it at the Museum of Miniatures in Kyiv. It was created by Ukrainian craftsmen of miniatures Mykola Syadrysty.

6. Linguistic contest that took place in Paris in 1934 was significant for Ukrainian language. It was recognized the second most melodic language in the world after Italian and the third most beautiful in phonetics, vocabulary, phraseology and sentence structure after French and Persian.

7. There is the deepest subway station in the world in Kyiv. Its depth is 105 meters. The station is called Arsenalna.

8. Geographic center of Europe is in Ukraine, in a small town Rahiv that is in the West of Carpathian Mountains.

9. Lviv and Odesa (Odessa) are cities with most unique cultural essentials (considered by me and I love to be there).
