About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Change what I can change, accepting what I cannot, being smart and brave enough to see the change

ABOUT ME

What to say about myself? The photo's say enough I think..
Love to love, to laugh, to be with friends, travel, sport, cook, study, dance, watch movies, listen to music, just as everybody else!
To give a more specific example:
Love to my friends, my family, seeing other people love, little things in life
Laugh about stupid jokes, during playing bordgames, my own foolish chaotic behavior, the hard things of life
Be with the people in the picture abov

PHILOSOPHY

Why do I live my life? Because I have one.
To be honest, not always totally happy, but most of the time and thatºs why iºm still here. Because of the little things that makes me happy, like friends who can be so sweet for me, seeing my sporters cycle their asses of when Iºm in one of my spinningclasses, when Iºm in the labory and see all the interesting things about (social)psychology, economy, politics which I still want to read, when I almost hit somebody by bike and he or she isnºt angry but just says sorry and smiles, just as I do.

Like Franciscus said:
Give me the power to change what I can change
Give me the currage to accept what I cannot change
And give me the knowledge to see the difference.

Thatºs it, thatºs the way I live my life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Not many couchsurfing experiences yet, but that will change!
I one couchsurfed with my boyfriend in Gent, but the host was a busy postdeliveryman so we didnºt see him at all.
My first experience was immediately very good: with Paulo Ramos in Lisboa. We had (to many..;P) drinks at my first night in Portugal and the day after we went for dinner in a nice and cosy Portugese restaurant. I had a great time and since then believed in the power of couchsurfing!

Interests

People, why they do what they do, including myself.
And why I do (and donºt do) the things I do? Mostly because I love them, sometimes because I think itºs best.
Iºm interested in too much for just having 7 days a week. Thatºs why iºm now focussing on my study psychology, work with disabled children, sport and friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

Too many, so just give some of the best in my opinion.
Movies: the arty onces, in the filmhouses (not the big cinemaºs). Going almost every week with friends or my dearest father and his girlfriend.
Last seen (dec 2011): We need to talk about Keving and the Black Swan, but also loving some action time to time
Music: several kinds of, mostly al sorts of (pop)rock (Nirvana, Golden Earring) but also jazz and classic, singer songwriter (Jose Gonzales, Tracy Chapman, India Arie)
Books: realistic litirature, no sf or detectives.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Snowboarding in May, when nobody was there except my family. Enjoying the beautiful view while boarden in falling, great :D

A long, long bustrip from Burkina Faso to Ghana. With me as only white girl between all the locals. Sleep, eat, live in the bus, everybody sharing everything. Including me as one of them.

Countries I’ve Visited

Burkina Faso, Cuba, Ghana, Nepal
