It gives me the opportunity to connect with new people when I travel. There is so much more to a city than what a travel guide will tell you, and the people who live there are at the heart of it.

Music, Movies, and Books

Scifi and fantasy all the way! I am a rabid Douglas Adams fan (ask me about my space dolphin tattoo). I grew up reading a lot of high fantasy as well, Tolkien especially. I adore the languages built into the stories as well. I'm also a pretty big comic book junkie. I'm always searching for new bookshelves; practically every horizontal surface in my room has a stack of comics that need bagged and boarded or a pile of books just waiting for an errant breeze to knock it over.

Movies tend to fall into the same category: scifi, adventure, fantasy. I'm much more of a tv fiend. Serialized stories are my jam. I love watching them grow and unfold over time.
