Meeting locals is the best part of traveling, truly. Staying in hostels can be lots of fun, but you're mostly meeting other travelers that way rather than learning about local culture and idiosyncrasies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Here's a handful:
-Jumped off a moving train in Romania after discovering it was going in the wrong direction.
-Clung to a mountain in Norway for dear life during CRAZY winds.
-Walked the now-abandoned bobsled track from the 1984 Sarajevo Olympics.
-Capsized while rafting over a waterfall in New Zealand.
-Walked barefoot through sand dunes in the Atacama Desert in Chile.

Having a visitor with a fresh perspective can show you new things about your own city and give you an appreciation for little things you never noticed. Plus I'm a decent cook, so I'd love to either cook for or with you!
