It was a few years ago when I traveled around the world for a few months, but the memory and the desire to see, learn and experience new things have remained! My children are doing well/they are grown up, so I can concentrate on the things I enjoy again! How much have I missed traveling with a backpack! I have such great memories of lovely people who took me in and some of these friendships still exist today! Getting to know the country and its people, immersing yourself in a foreign culture are things that I no longer want to do without! So I got my old backpack ready again and am moving around the world - let's see what adventures await me! I'm looking forward to it!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I ended up in Australia (Emerald) by chance! a small town and not the center of the world! But there I saw a VW Beetle with a Hamburg license plate in a parking spot and apparently wondered out loud how it got there! 😂 The older women spoke to me in German! It was wonderful, I was warmly welcomed into the Piechowski family, who had emigrated in the 50s, and spent three wonderful weeks with them!
