About Me

In short I basically am a life-loving, peoples person. I am always looking for new experiences and adventures, mainly in the sense of traveling and exploring the world around me. I'm a student living in Soest together with my fiancé and currently studying European Studies in The Hague.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In summer 2016 me and my friend had a sudden change of plans for our vacation and decided to go the adventurous route and try couchsurfing, instead of the planned camping. It was such a good experience, that I decided to try and be more active on this social network.

Interests

Playing volleyball, photography, travelling (surprise, surprise), exploring, drinking coffee, having good conversations, being active (hikes, cycling etc.), playing games, Christian

Music, Movies, and Books

Where to start? Music?
Royal Blood, Alt-J, Tame Impala, Fink, Nick Mulvey, Mew, Bombay Bicycle Club, Jungle, SOHN, Catfish and the Bottlemen, Two Door Cinema Club, Imagine Dragons, Bear's Den, The Black Keys, Band of Skulls, Sleeping at Last, Jett Rebel, London Grammar, Echosmith, First Aid Kit .....

Books? Thrillers, detectives & a little sci-fi every now & then.
Movies? Pretty much everything except Horror. But I prefer thrillers, comedy and romance.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I honestly couldn't list just one.. But I've visited South-Africa 9 times now, and it has become my second home. So that process has (and still is) definitely been amazing!
Also, I've been on a mission trip to Kosovo, which was really special, beautiful and inspiring.
And in 2015 I've been backpacking through Slovenia by myself for a month, what an amazing adventure that was!

Teach, Learn, Share

Typical Dutch foood! I think food-wise, the Netherlands is weird, but the good kind of weird ;) So I love to share some of the good food we have to offer.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A love for my country, and interest in yours. And of course in you as a person! I can't wait to wander through the Dutch streets with a good coffee in our hands having good conversations and (hopefully) sharing our love to explore!

Plus I absolutely love to play games, so if you're more the indoor type, I am more than willing to spend a lovely evening at home with some nice wine and good games!

Countries I’ve Visited

Albania, Belgium, China, Croatia, England, France, Germany, Italy, Kosovo, Luxembourg, Serbia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Swaziland, Vatican City State

Countries I’ve Lived In

China, Netherlands, United Kingdom
