About Me
Hi Everyone,
I am participating in the English teaching assistant program through the Spanish government and have been placed in A Coruña Spain, moving from good ol' New York.
Bonjour a tous,

Movies
I generally enjoy comedies and action/drama. I like psychological horror but can't do gore / I scream a lot the whole time. Because a lot of my work interests can be pretty depressing, I often limit my media consumption to more light-hearted entertainment.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I recently visited my mom's home town of Aux Coteaux, Haiti for the first time. While the village is in the South of Haiti and hard hit by the hurricane last October, connecting with my roots and the community was a transformative experience. I saw the church where my mom and grandmother was baptized, the school where my grandmother taught, an old family cemetary. We stayed with an old family friend who runs a nursing school in the area where I taught karate classes on the weekends with the local kids.
I will never be able to eat an unripe mango again.
Teach, Learn, Share
I speak French and English fluently, am advanced in Haitian Creole, and my main goal in Spain this year is to become fluent. I am interested in migration justice work, and community building / empowerment, so these languages are key for me. I also have a background in education and curriculum development.
Happy to cook, child / pet sit, lead a karate class.
