About Me

CURRENT MISSION Post grad traveling SE Asia with my bf so really just on the road nonstop lately. Would we super appreciative of a chance to kick back with locals and hear about the places I am from their perspective. I have noticed most people on CS have traveled around a bit so I’d love to swap travel stories. ABOUT ME I feel like I'm a pretty laid back person, equal parts sarcastic and goofy. I love being outdoors and enjoy quality alone time is this setting, mostly because people I am with don't typically enjoy hearing all about rocks and outcrops we see along our way. Oh well, at least geologists are usually good people to have a beer with. PHILOSOPHY I live to be happy. I don't want to concretely say what makes me happy because there are already so many things that do, and they will probably change in the years ahead. As long as I can do what I want and make other people happy too, I feel like I am living a good life. All about the good vibes.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I spent the last summer backpacking around the olympic peninsula in Washington state. I love taking my friends to places they haven't been before and showing them fun local outdoor destinations.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

New to couchsurfing (officially), but post-backpack I stayed on a friends couch in Colorado for a couple weeks (was told I was a great houseguest after making them breakfast several times). I kept it pretty tidy, I always clean up after myself and keep my things out of the way. I believe a surfer shouldn't inconvenience their host so I try to help out where I can. The thing I appreciate most about couch surfing is the freedom and flexibility it offers.

Interests

Backpacking, hiking, making breakfast, digging in the dirt and playing with rocks, exploring new places.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Backpacked alone for a week in western washington
Gotten into Sasquatch music festival for free
Gone on a two week roadtrip to san Francisco with five guys I had recently met
Made a 30 foot rope swing from a tree on a cliff out of climbing gear and a harness
Completed a six week geology field course and lived outdoors the whole time

Teach, Learn, Share

Trying to learn more about outdoor survival, also how to rock climb and snow camp.
I can teach you how to make dank crepes and how to skip rocks.

What I Can Share with Hosts

An excellent sense of humor, maybe some good stories.
