Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I prefer authentic, local places than touristy ones. I believe staying with locals is the way to find out about these places, and truly discover the culture. To me, there's a difference between being a traveller and a tourist.

I don't have one favorite band, movie or book and actually it makes me uncomfortable when someone asks me that kind of question because I feel it's very limited and I don't know what to say, there are so many genders! But here are some that came to my mind.
Movies: Sueño en otro idioma, Django Unchained, Intouchables, La tête en friche, Wadjda, Cafarnaum, Barfi, Taare Zameen Par, Léon, Million Dollar Baby, The Boy who harnessed the wind, Lego, Mud, etc.
Books: Oscar y las mujeres, Enrique Serna, Laura Restrepo, Isabel Allende
Music (depends a lot on the mood and period but): La yegros, FKJ, Edith Piaf, Cafe Tacuba, The XX, Gregory Porter, ...
I also like going to the theatre and see local plays. My favorite one until now has been Casa Calabaza, a mexican play.
