About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To pass the JLPT N2

ABOUT ME

I'm a bit shy when meeting people for the first time, but will become more open as I being more familiar with them. That being said I do really enjoy meeting and talking to people who come from a variety of different backgrounds and walks of life. I also really appreciate good humor. I wouldn't be able to get through the day to day If I weren't able to have a good laugh at myself and the world I live in.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that most challenges in life can be aptly dealt with or over come with the right amount of positive thinking, and effort over time.

Interests

I love traveling because it offers me a chance to break away from my everyday schedule and experience something different for a while. Exploring local sights, customs, and foods in the places I've been has been a continuing passion of mine. I'm also a huge lover of animals. My step mother raised and bred English Labradors for a living, so there were always around 8 to 10 huge dogs in the house when I was growing up, and so dogs especially have always been a big part of my life, and a huge comfort to me. One of the most difficult things about living abroad has been no longer being able to interact with animals on a daily bases. So now whenever I get the chance I love going out and seeing animals be it domestic or wild.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm pretty open when it comes to music I enjoy. If it has a good beat, and the lyrics aren't overly vulgar I tend to like it. Radiohead, Band of Horses, and Arcade Fire are three of my favorite bands. Recently I've been really into Gotye's Making Mirrors album.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seeing the Japanese Macaques in Yudanaka was really an exceptional experience for me. I'd never before been that close to wild life, and it was really a trip seeing how human-like they were in their interactions and ways of communicating with each other.
