About Me

I, like most people on here, have passion for travel and exploring the world. I love meeting people everywhere I go, learning about their culture, hearing about their experiences, and sharing my own.

I'm currently working as an ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher in Incheon, South Korea. I am really passionate about languages/linguistics in general, I studied in Spanish in university and spent a year in Barcelona, so I’d say I can get by conversationally. I’ve dabbled in multiple other languages, but I haven’t had the time or the people to practice with. I’m currently trying really hard to improve my Korean and can converse well with chat GPT, but I fail pretty hard IRL 😂

I also find psychology pretty cool as that’s what I studied in my undergraduate degree. I love to sing and dance, and will go HARD at karaoke.

I like meeting all sorts of different people, even if we have completely different interests. I’m cool with chilling at a cafe sipping tea/coffee, or going to a rave dressed in one of those blow up T-Rex costumes.

About my home:

I live in a small loft-style officetel in Yeongjongdo. It takes about 30 minutes to get here by bus from Incheon airport, or ~15 minutes by taxi. It’s not too difficult to get to Seoul and takes about an hour to get to Hongdae. The airport line from Yeongjong station takes 40 minutes. I only have a small air mattress for sleeping. I do have a sofa, but it’s probably too small to sleep comfortably. I have frying pans and pots for cooking, as well as a rice cooker and microwave. No oven. I have a washing machine, but no dryer. My work schedule is different depending on the day, but the earliest I start is around noon, and the latest being Tuesdays and Thursdays when I finish around 20:30. I work Monday-Friday and have weekends off.

I prefer to host travelers with at least a few references.
