About Me
ABOUT ME
Hello Humans of The World! My name is Sabrina, I come from South-East of France but I also lived in other countries like Ireland, China and Germany for my Erasmus time :)
I'm living in Switzerland since September 2013 and I'm happy I did because I discovered that it's a much more exotic country that one could think ;) It's kind of 3 countries in 1, people switch incredibly easily from one language to another and are very curious. Having the nature so close is also a real pleasure ! I love it so far and will be happy to make you discover Zurich from my point of view :)
PHILOSOPHY
"You know my name, not my story. You've heard what I've done, not what I've been through"
Because it's always much more complicated than it seems and because nothing is ever black or white.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Until now, I haven't experienced much because I live with roommates and don't feel comfortable with bothering them to hosting travellers. I'm looking forward to having my own flat to have that freedom ! I'm used to travelling in a "traditional" way, mostly in youth hostels.
I'm always happy to meet new people and would love to host more! I strongly believe that what makes a trip or a stay somewhere great is 10% thanks to the landscapes/beauty of the city and 90% thanks to the interactions you have with people from there. Thanks to Couchsurfing, you meet locals who share your love of meeting new people/sharing experiences so it can only leave great memories (right?)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I stayed overnight one time in New York at a CSer. I got the chance to do things I wouldn't have done otherwise. I'd like to do more!
I showed around some people coming who wrote me over CS. Nice experience too. It bring us to think about what we like the most about the city we live in and enjoy its beauty again.
I met great people over CS.
Interests
I like going to the cinema, preferably watching independant movies (don't take me to watch Transformers, I will probably fall asleep or leave the room after 10 minutes..of add! ;) ) and always in Original Version, cause they are the best. The director let his/her print.
I like dancing: salsa, african dance, folk dances (gavotte, chapeloise,...)
I like going to the museums. It calms me down and opens up the artist in me (after that I usually come back home and gather images and items to make funny "collage" !)
Love going to concerts : preferably pop/rock but also reggae and classical music from time to time. I'm usually very sceptical when it's a DJ-concerts because a concert without instruments is a strange concept to me but if it's good, if the energy is there, I will for sur enjoy the moment! I believe that we both hear and watch music.
Of course, I also like hanging out with my friends. No need to do fancy things: having dinner and chilling together is already a successful time for me! I rarely say know to a little "party-time" though
