I grew up on a farm in KZN, South Africa. I am an active, energetic person. I think it’s important to be kind and loyal and positive. I enjoy all sports, especially team sports. I like to hike, climb, mountain bike, horse ride, snowboard, etc. (open to new adventures), as often as possible. I love doing things with people, but also enjoy reading and am happy missioning alone.

I like food too.

Really, I’m just out here trying to have different experiences and make a story worth telling out of my life.

I love showing people my beautiful country, and letting them see for themselves what we have to offer. And they’re supporting our (stuffed) economy by doing so, so I’m happy to help out by providing some accommodation.

I think the whole Couchsurfing concept is so cool. By staying with people who want to share their spot with you, you get to experience a place from a more genuine, local perspective. So I’m a big fan of that.

I read pretty much every genre, but find I spend the most time reading biographies, historical novels, fantasy, and many a crime thriller. I enjoy most music genres too, except trance (sorry, tried). I don’t watch a lot of movies, but do relish a good one when I do.

Cycled from the north coast of Scotland to the south coast of England with my dad. Cycled a couple of cool places, well, I thought they were cool but you can decide. Planning to cycle across Australia in May!

I want to learn Spanish.

I can teach you relatively small amounts of possibly marginally interesting stuff about a number of topics. (Like; South African culture, Italian culture, sustainable systems and renewable energy, card games, engineering, horses, field hockey, how to peel prickly pears).

I’m keen to learn about anything and everything! But especially about the place my 2 feet are standing.
