About Me

* CURRENTLY BACK HOME *

I'm from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Ive been traveling for the past 7 years. I've lived in Australia and New Zealand. And for the past 2 years I’ve been traveling Argentina in our self made campervan, with my partner Facu (https://www.couchsurfing.com/users/1007279218). You can get to know us better in our Instagram https://www.instagram.com/labyronvan
I love to chat and be around people but also appreciate my alone time (and respect yours).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm currently traveling and since I've been doing so I realized that it easier to meet locals outside their own country than it is to actually meet them there. I love that CS builds that bridge and helps bring locals and visitors closer together, making the adventure of traveling a more human one.
I love to immerse myself in the local culture of the places I visit and learn about what's "normal" and what's not. Learning about different lifestyles helps me broaden my vision of the world.
Besides, I like the idea of suddenly living with a stranger for a little while :)

Interests

I love music and so I'm currently traveling with my ukulele :) going to concerts and volunteering/working at music festivals is also a huge part of the way I travel.
I'm a barista and I love to discover the greatest coffee places everywhere I go.
I'm keen on staying home or going into nature and discussing the wonders of the universe for hours.
Finally I love meeting friends and family of our hosts, I enjoy being a part of a regular social gathering in another country. That's when all the similarities of human behaviour around the world arise.

Music, Movies, and Books

Too many to count, let's share a glass of wine and discuss this.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived in a van for two years and traveled my home country recording acoustic Sessions with local artists and sharing them on our YouTube channel “La Byron Van Sessions”.
I saw the Northern lights in Iceland.
I saw natural wildlife at it's best when a leopard seal chased, caught and finally ate a penguin in Antarctica.
I volunteered at two amazing music festivals in Australia, where we lived music 24/7.
I finally skydived and landed in the beautiful real life postcard that is Queenstown, New Zealand.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like to cook and have some knowledge about healthy eating and living (which I partly obey..). I have a mission of finding the best coffee spots anywhere I go and I would be delighted to share them as well.
Of course Spanish (conversation mainly, I completely forgot all the grammar rules) and whatever else I have to offer, is to be discovered by whoever chooses to host me :)
