About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Give back all the welfare CS gave me so many times

ABOUT ME

I'm an active person, always in a good mood, enjoying life as much as possible by feeling to the full every single moment :)

I like learning from people, discovering the diversity of human culture.

I have graduated from the University of Montreal in Anthropology and I have started a Master in Archaeology. The study of ancient cultures is my way of trying to understand the world I'm living in and how we have evoluated for many millions of years. I'm amazed by the diversity of cultures, as well as the richness of life on earth.

I get involved easily in what I really care about... environment, education, my soul and the people I appreciate.

I love the nature and I feel comfortable when the air is fresh, when it's all silent and my mind is free of any disturbing thoughts.

PHILOSOPHY

-Work hard to get what you want.
-Always be honest with yourself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books

I like reading so much! Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt, Milan Kundera, Réjean Ducharme, Bernard Werber, Hubert Reeves (his old stuff), Jack Kerouac, Ernest Hemingway and Dostoievski are amongst my favorite authors.

''The origin of species'' by Charles Darwin and ''How pair-bonding gave birth to human society'' by Bernard Chapais are some of the books which give a sense to my life, a direction I tend towards...

I like listening to music that inspires me: Dream theater, Genesis, Pink Floyd, Bob Dylan... Others that make me think: Richard Desjardins, Xavier Rudd, John Lennon, Leonard Cohen, Alanis Morissette, Tom Waits, Eddie Vedder. These groups make me feel really good, in any situation: Dire Strait, REM, DeVotchKa, the Beatles... and of course let's talk about some classic from Québec... Harmonium, Richard Desjardins, Les colocs, Loco Locass, Jean Leloup, Anonymus, Mononc' Serge, Mes aïeux, La bottine souriante...

Movies: I love the movies made by Christopher Nolan, Martin Scorsese, David Fincher (The curious case of Benjamin Button), Peter Jackson... Oh, and I love superhero movies :P

I like to watch documentaries: The world according to Monsanto (Marie-Monique Robin), L'erreur Boréale (Richard Desjardins), Trou story (Richard Desjardins)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-I hitchhiked the whole circle of Iceland twice, there is such amazing landscapes up there!!
-I traveled alone for 13 months in Europe

Teach, Learn, Share

I like drinking beer, good ones ;) Taking the time to enjoy it's full flavor :D I'm an IPA's fan. I love all the Trappist and I agree with the Trappist Westvleteren 12 to be the best one on the planet. But there are so much to discover! The world of Micro-breweries is in full expansion since the last 10 years in Quebec, lets bet that you won't have the time to try all the beer you should really taste!

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Cuba, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Mexico, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom, United States
