Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have always liked the idea of people switching homes during holidays and couchsurfing is the perfected transformation of this idea.

I participate by sharing my home with people who are willing to share some of their own reality.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have known couchsurfing since 2005 from friends and one of my favourite books (Wir nennen es Arbeit) but as you can see I have registered just lately.

Interests

...swimming, my friends and family, the smell of coffee, cigarettes, aftershave and n e w s p a p e r s (though I am a non-smoker), cooking, (LOUD) music!!!, learning about different cultures, generally being in the flow.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, there is one thing that comes to my mind. Though I have some reservations towards the army I incidentally had the chance to see a last post (letzter Zapfenstreich --> ich denke es wird so übersetzt) while working as a tourguide on fortress Ehrenbreitstein in Koblenz. The sun was just downing and then you suddenly heard about 150 sailors (maybe more maybe less but it sounded like a huge army) marching through the Poterne (a tunnel) through the west end moat with torches. Then the band started to play and it was a real goose flesh moment... look at this:

Teach, Learn, Share

If interested I can teach how to ring a bell?!? I would love you to cook your favourite meal because I really like learning about new dishes (-:
I am sure there is more I could teach but I am not aware of - we have to talk about that!!!
