About Me

CURRENT MISSION
Five weeks of beautiful Andalusia, mostly Granada. I fell in love with Granada when I first stayed for Spanish lessons in 2016, since that the city and I have a long-distance relationship. This is my third time coming back. Before I have to be back at university in April I just have to return and get some of the great energy I feel every time I'm there. I would also like to improve my Spanish and gain a more advanced speaking routine.

ABOUT
I'm 29. I studied social anthropology and educational science. After living and working in Malaysia, some travelling and working I started a masters programme called "Moving Cultures" in 2016.
I love to travel and to get to know new people and cultures. I'm outgoing, friendly, curious and interested. I like cooking, mostly vegan, sometimes vegetarian. Communication, fairness and justice are very important to me. I really don't care for racism, sexism or any other injustice.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to meet people and I feel like couchsurfing is a great platform for this. When living in Kuala Lumpur I went nearly every Friday night to couchsurfing meetings even though I wasn't really in the position to host people. I met so many great souls there. I really wouldn't want to miss it.
I see couchsurfing as a way to travel apart from the industry and I think this is a great opportunity in many ways.

Interests

Generally I'm interested in many things and I like to get to know new stuff. I love to listen to others and learn from them. I like it when people have an alternative view on the world. I can probably say that I'm interested in the things listed above in an alternative way, not the mainstream one.

Music, Movies, and Books

It really depends on my mood. Sometimes I like rock music, sometimes electronic, reggae, folk, alternative, world music, ... I can't really pin that down. Same for films and books. The last film I really loved was "captain fantastic" with Vigo Mortensen though.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I can't break it down to one thing. Traveling, in general, is the most eye-opening thing one can do. But well... jumping down a 15-meter high waterfall on Bali remained as one special memory amongst other things.

Teach, Learn, Share

So many things I would like to learn. Right now, I'm really interested in Permaculture and sustainable projects. So far I don't have too much knowledge about gardening but I would really love to change that.
In general I think we learn and teach every day as long as we pay attention to each other.
