I study linguistics at the Moscow State University and I am going to specialize in africanistics and work with children. I am kinda keen on traveling, horse riding and languages, sang in a band, administrated a large fan-club, write poetry and work as a tutor (I teach children English). I love all kinds of new experience and I'm a real chatterbox. And also quite a nerd with all my fan stuff and board games.

I'm not really good at sports but I hope I will try everything from surfing to hiking long distances.

After I get my degree I wish to be a volunteer, at the moment I'm looking for some school or orphanage in Uganda or Ghana to work at.

Что привело меня на Couchsurfing

Well, I tried traveling spending nights in hostels or hotels, but decided that it is not the best way to learn about the place I'm staying at. Also... I love people, I'm quite talkative (lack of communication makes me truly sick =) ) and I like sharing my previous experience. Sure I will have something to tell you about. I am a restless traveller and I'll be glad to make friends with other people who want to see the world.

I wish I could be a host but at the moment I live in the university campus and we are not allowed to bring any guests for a night stay. But I still can help you around Moscow (and also in St. Petersburg - I often go there to see my parents and I know the city really well).

Languages, new people, making friends, exploring the world, listening to music, singing, playing board games and doing good. Also I'm kinda... a watching fan of extreme sports. I wish I will be brave enough to try everything I can.

I've watched numerous TV-series from Doctor Who and Torchwood to How I met your mother and The Big Bang Theory. Sherlock, The Game of Thrones, Once upon a time, Elementary, Body of Proof, Hannibal, Queer as folk, the ER, the Scrubs, Grimm, Supernatural and so on (when I tried to count all of them, I felt lost somewhere around forty and decided not to do this). Also I enjoy Never mind the Buzzcocks and QI.

Talking about music... I'm much more conservative - REM, Lynyrd Skynyrd and the Cranberries are cool. Also folk-rock and indie are nice to listen, too. Mumford and Sons and Russian band "Мельница" especially.

I'm a huge fan of Tolkien and read Harry Potter from cover to cover a dozen of times. Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë, The Witcher by Andrzej Sapkowski, Brave New World by Aldous Huxley, The Last of the Mohicans and The Deerslayer by James Fenimore Cooper, Ivanhoe by Sir Walter Scott, A Common Story and Oblomov by Ivan Goncharov, The Master and Margarita by Mikhail Bulgakov and short stories by Ivan Bunin are also on top of the list.

Классная вещь, которую я сделал(-а)

On summer night - or morning, if you are used to getting up early, or por la madrugada, if you like Spanish - at about four a.m. I was in St. Petersburg packing up a backpack for an unplanned trip and in a week on the road with some pieces of sightseeing on the go I was climbing up the Acrocorinth. Hope I will do more things like that soon, because it makes me fell alive.

I have been to 33 countries and I know it's not a score anyway, because you cannot measure experience like that, but I kinda like the number.

I fed indian elephants, saw the distant peaks of Tian Shan standing in the July snow, walked the streets of Tatooine, hugged a tiger, tried on a real Japanese kimono, went rafting white water in southern Russia, parasailed, played with a slow loris, сlimbed the dunes of the Sahara desert and the mountain of Acrocorinth, went down under the ground to explore solutional caves, had my glove eaten by an emu and there are still numerous things to be done =)

I can teach you Russian while cooking some stereotypically Russian pancakes and tell you some stories about my travels. Also I am not bad at singing, so I can sing to you a plenty of Russian songs (f.e. some folk-rock).
