About Me

Hi guys,

My name is Sacha. I am super happy to be a member of the CS's community worldwide!

I come from France where I grew up before leaving my hometown (Strasbourg) for London where i have lived for two years. I have been traveling a lot across the globe since I also lived in New York City (only for a short period of 6 months) in 2015.

I like to meet new cultures and travel around the world. I have been traveling a lot to Asia, America and Africa (Nepal, Thailand, Kenya, Morocco, Egypt, Mexico, USA).

I am nowadays completing my apprenticeship to become a lawyer. My specialization is Human rights and Humanitarian Law and I would be very happy to talk about it with you. After experiences at the UN (Geneva) and the European Court of Human Rights, I acquired a good knowledge of the functioning of international institutions.
I cannot wait to share all of this with you and to hear about your experience and adventures!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I heard about Couchsurfing, I decided to open up an account in order to meet people, make friends worldwide and host people at my place in France.

I like the spirit of Couchsurfing since I am a long-term user (ambassador) of blablacar (the most famous care-sharing website in Europe).

My goal is, in the long term, to become an active member of the CS's community.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like to listen to French and US rap (Tupac, Biggie Smalls) but also to Jazz and 90's classics.

My favorite book is the Alchimist (Paolo Coelho).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I swam with whale-sharks while traveling around Mexico!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am an activist for international solidarity given that I am working with different NGOs realizing charity projects around the globe (mainly in Nepal) where I realized two projects. The first one is about reconstructing a collapsed school after the terrible 2015 earthquake and the second one is about women empowerment of young girls from the Himalayas (Mugu one of the most isolated region of Nepal) and enable them to play football.

I would love to tell you about all of this and eventually to meet people that are also engaged in such initiatives in order to create new partnerships or simply to discuss with you the possibility for you to go on the field and participate to one of my existing projects as a volunteer.

Guyana, Malaysia, Mexico, Morocco, Nepal, Portugal, Spain, Thailand, Tunisia
