I'm a 21 year old girl studying International Politics and Psychology at the University of Sussex. I'm originally from Tokyo, Japan but grew up in the US, Nepal and Bangladesh and living in Brighton, UK at the moment.
Travelling has always been a huge part of my life and I cannot stay in one place for too long. The number of wonderful people I've encountered in each and every country I've ever visited have made me who I am today and I want to continue my journey meeting even more amazing people out there.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing offers such a unique experience connecting like-minded people together and I think it's a very fascinating platform. When I travel, I like to take a peek of what people's lives are like and see the beauty of the place from their eyes rather than visiting the obvious touristy sites. Music, Movies, and Books

I watch all types of films except for horror. I especially enjoy watching old films including musicals.
The few of my favorites are Before Sunrise, My Fair Lady (ahh absolute classic!), PK (it's an incredible Bollywood film, you should watch it!!) etc.

I listen to all kinds of music but mostly tunes with an acoustic guitar is my background music.
Indie folk, indie rock, jazz, rock, pop etc.

I absolutely love books! I'm always open to suggestions for good reads! :) If you have a favorite, send it my way please!! At the moment, I'm reading a book called Shantaram, which just brings back memories of all the sensations and colors of living in South Asia... I absolutely love it and definitely recommended it to anyone looking for the next book to pick up!!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I managed to epically escape from a crowd of hijras running after me on a rickshaw in the middle of the night in Dhaka when I was a teenager. Sounds chaotic? Believe me, it was.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have tons of funny stories I can share with the hosts and bring about some laughter :) I'm also eager to listen to everyone else's stories. I can whip up a meal or two under request and I really enjoy baking if you have a sweet tooth.
