About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I want to explore the world and have contact with local people!

ABOUT ME

From Asia [India] emigrated to Latin America around 1870 [Suriname], my ancestors lived in a time of Dutch glory. In the mid 80's my mother felt a need to bring us up in the western civilization and flew us over to Europe [the Netherlands]. This was due to the loss of my father and the bad economical state we lived in. I lived in Thailand for 4 months, in Poland for 2 years and currently located in multicultural Berlin since 2013. With all this baggage gained from my instincts, travel, contacts, education, residents, interests, experiences, etc., I developed myself into a cosmopolitan inhabitant of Earth... °°°

PHILOSOPHY

Thinking about thinking, makes me think that thinking about thinking, helps me to keep on thinking.. .

I see nature as my 'God'. I'm really interested in astrology and discovered that it has many connections to different religions. I love simple and logical thinking and try to change negativity into positivity (or vice versa). Find out how the 4 elements of life work with or against each other. If you understand this, you will find an important key to open up your mind, heart and soul!!

This formules helped me a lot:
1+1=3 * negative+positive=energy * sun+earth=life * father+mother=child * mind+body=soul * devil+angel=human * yin+yang=balance

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I meet a lot of travelers and give them useful tips or sometimes even help them to find a place to stay.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

When I was in Thailand I slept in houses of locals I met in Sukothai. They were so friendly and sweet. I learned a lot of Thai behavior and manners.

In 2010 I had a Polish guy as a guest, whom I met through a mutual friend. He later rented the room he stayed in. We became very good friends.
Later we went to Poland and couch-surfed his place and I decided to live there for a while.

In Amsterdam I was hosted by the mother of my friend for about 3 months. She provided me shelter until I got a job and got my life settled again. We are really close and I even call her my adoptive mother.

Then I moved to Berlin and slept on the couches of several friends and lived in hostels. I loved being in this international atmosphere.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to Lake Toba and Samorsir island in Indonesia in 2003. The lake and island are situated in a... volcano!! The weather was slightly more chilled and the people so curious and friendly! Find more info and go there...!

In 2014 I visited Balestrino. It is the most beautiful and romantic abandoned town I have visited to date.

Teach, Learn, Share

Just go outside of the box by thinking outside of the box. Don't be afraid to ask information or help. People are the same everywhere: the only differences that appear between us humans are money, borders and language... These 'misused tools' have brought nothing but despise, division and misunderstanding. We are 1...!!
So, when you travel, always hang out with locals. They'll always provide you something new; something that is maybe not yet popular in the tourist guides!

What I Can Share with Hosts

When I was 16 years old, I started a job as a dish-washer and became the youngest chef in my town Leiden.
I want to learn more about different cuisines and cook for people. I have my own style of cooking and use lot of spices and herbs of others countries and mix them! Taste my food!

Countries I’ve Visited

Andorra, Belgium, Brunei Darussalam, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Indonesia, Italy, Laos, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Myanmar, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Singapore, Spain, Suriname, Sweden, Thailand, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In
