About Me

My life motto is, "Do all the good you can, for all the people you can, for as long as you can, while you can".

"Be the change you want to see in the world!"

I believe in Ubantu. A person is a person because of other people. We're all connected and should give back to our community!

I don't just want to move through the world. I want to be a part of it. Create memories. Leave behind stories. Live it. Love it. Challenge it. Make it better. Be present.

Music, Movies, and Books

Love all movies (except for the scary ones with creepy children). I had MoviePass for three glorious years. The first year I went to over 100 movies at the theatre.

I love reading, but am falling behind. Currently reading Sapiens.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Went skydiving, ate a live maggot in Bolivia, ran my first half marathon in Iceland, swam with sharks, almost went on The Bachelor...

Good Bones

BY MAGGIE SMITH

Life is short, though I keep this from my children.
Life is short, and I’ve shortened mine
in a thousand delicious, ill-advised ways,
a thousand deliciously ill-advised ways
I’ll keep from my children. The world is at least
fifty percent terrible, and that’s a conservative
estimate, though I keep this from my children.
For every bird there is a stone thrown at a bird.
For every loved child, a child broken, bagged,
sunk in a lake. Life is short and the world
is at least half terrible, and for every kind
stranger, there is one who would break you,
though I keep this from my children. I am trying
to sell them the world. Any decent realtor,
walking you through a real shithole, chirps on
about good bones: This place could be beautiful,
right? You could make this place beautiful.

Do what you can, when you can to make this place beautiful!
