About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To learn as much as I can about the world and the people in it, so maybe it boggles me a little bit less.

ABOUT ME

My friends would probably give me mixed reviews...generally very kind, quite loud at times. I would like to think quick witted, they may disagree. Definately open to experiencing things and keen to see the world!

I have a lot of very good, close friends so I guess that speaks for itself!

PHILOSOPHY

In order to learn we must first learn to listen.

I believe life is made up of three things; compensation, compromise and compassion and all work to balance each other out, if you get it right!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have surfed a few couches across Asia and found it to be a great experience. An exciting way to meet people and get a real insiders view of a city instead of the same old tourist stuff.

Hopefully at some point I will be able to return the favor and do some hosting too!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Everyone I have spoken to so far has been really helpful, with tips, advice, offerings of food and places to stay. So kind. Really good to restore my faith in man kind!

Interests

I love to see new things and meet new people, sights, sounds, smells! I am always interested in learning from people, I think we can all learn seomthing from everyone.

I love debating things, and challenging my mind. But I also like relaxing and lazing about on beaches! I guess I'm a very mixed bag.

Also since I have been travelling I have realised I love adventurous stuff, trekking/hiking, white water rafting etc. And trying a sky dive when I get home which will be a BIG challenge as I'm very very very scared of heights!!!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all sorts of music from all over the world. I mostly listen to things with jazz routes as it can be found in most types of modern music. I like everything from deep house to hip hop to acoustic guitar, but I would say I listen most to downbeat stuff, zero 7, morcheeba, guts etc.

Movies, I love pleasantville, I recently saw Killer Joe, which was awesome in a very wrong way. I enjoyed requim for a dream and Donnie Darko. I also hate to admit that I love Disney films.

Books, I don;t feel like I will every have read enough to comment on this. I recently read catcher and the rye which was great. I like anything by Roddy Doyle, Irvine Welsh etc but intend to start reading more educational books while I travel.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hate answering questions like this because all of these things are cumulative. I have had so many amazing experiences that would porbably seem irrelevant to most people but mean something to me.

I was lucky enough to climb Gulaba mountain in India, this was amazing as there was no proof of human life and you could see so much of the Himalayas from 4500m up, really amazing! I also traveled through Spiti Valley which was truly wonderful, very untraveled and vast with so many varying landscapes.

Countries I’ve Visited

Cambodia, Denmark, France, Greece, India, Italy, Ukraine, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In

Spain, United Kingdom
