About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Becoming a better person,
Exploring the World (wayyyy to go!),
Having an interesting life.

ABOUT ME

People say I'm nice...
I am peaceful and calm. I am an introvert but it doesn't mean that I don't like people. On the contrary, people fascinates me, because I think each person has its own interesting story and path and I'm curious to know it. I wish I could live several different lives. I find it very frustrating only to be able to lead the life of a French woman in 2019, which is why I started travelling to meet different cultures, different people, and challenge myself with other lifestyles. And when I meet someone and this person tells me her story, I get to live a little bit of her life.
I think I am collecting stories, memories, thoughts. Not only mine but other's. And other's stories, memories and thoughts are always fascinating even though they might not always realize it!

PHILOSOPHY

Being and feeling free, being peaceful and in harmony with Nature, doing the least harm and opening my mind. Stop judging and start accepting different culture as different ways.
Try not to worry too much!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am here to meet you, share my story with you and hopefully you will share your story with me.
I think this website is a nice way to reconnect between human beings, to build bridges between different cultures, to get a chance to meet people I would probably never meet otherwise.
Being hosted is a chance to get an insight of people's daily life. Some might say their everyday life is boring, I always find it interesting.
Hosting people is a way to share my daily life with them. I hope you won't find it boring! ;)

Interests

I like cultural things and History. I am not a specialist but I like when people can teach me about their culture's history, tell me about food, clothing, specific traditions. Learning little details about why this colour rather than this one on a special day, why eating this type of food, where does a tradition comes from is fascinating.

I also enjoy Arts (in every form). I, of course, have preferences such as Antique sculptures, Caspar David Friedrich paintings, V. Hugo and A. de Musset 's writings, Baudelaire's poems, Shakespeare: reading his plays or seeing it on stage... I love going to the theatre for a play or a dance performance. I would say I am hungry and thirsty for Art. It stimulates my brain.

I like to cook, though I am not an expert and I sometimes get to live some "panic in the kitchen" adventures... Also I am vegetarian so I cannot cook any meat stuff.

I like to dance and to learn new dances. I am mostly interested in traditional dances but I also enjoy just shaking my body in clubs every now and then. I started by learning some traditional French and European dances, then I moved on to Egyptian baladi, after that I spend time learning ATS and Tribal fusion and nowadays I found myself enjoying learning Indian dances (Mohiniyattam, bharata natyam and bollywood of course!). I tried Dabka, Flamenco, Bachata... I'm always happy trying new types of dances!

I have a passion for real good TEA! If by any chance you come from a country famous for tea, I'd be delighted if you could bring me some (even just a spoonful to taste!) My favourites being chinese oolong and japanese gyokuro.

I enjoy being ouside and hiking. If I host you we have many hiking spots here that we can explore together!
