I'm an Icelandic student of Mechanical Engineering, heading towards graduation in the spring of 2016. I'm very interested in electrical cars and development around it.
I'm a pretty social guy and I love meeting new people from all over the world. I've been studying virtually all my life and I want to make the most of my time when I can travel. I went to Italy as an exchange student in the spring of 2014 and it really broadened my horizon.
In Iceland I sing in a university choir alongside my studying. We are around 70 people and sing a lot of Icelandic harmonies as well as bigger pieces like Requem and Sea Symphony.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's a great way to meet new people from around the world. So far I've had nothing but great experiences.
I've surfed a few times in Italy and Germany, as well as hosted about a dozen people for the past few months in Iceland.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like to consider myself an omnivore on most music as long as it's not too heavy or absurd. I mostly listen to indie rock, classic rock, melodic stuff and some classic music. For instance Pearl Jam (I love Eddie Vedder), Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Ben Howard, Death cab for Cutie, Kings of Leon, Bombay Bicycle club, etc.

I'm a fantasy novel enthusiast, and I always have an audiobook playing when I'm not with someone else.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've gone rafting down a glacial river plenty of times, I've been dirt biking a lot, and I love skiing as well as hiking up mountains (we have a lot of those in Iceland).

Teach, Learn, Share

We Icelanders have a lot of things that would sound peculiar to most of the world. For instance, I love dried fish and skyr(that one I'll have to explain in person). Also, we tend to go out for ice cream when it's below freezing outside and midnight.
