About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Travel Asia one couch at a time! Oh I live by the saying "your biggest risk is taking no risks"
ABOUT ME
I laugh ALL the time, even when it's not funny... what else can I say? this pretty much defines me, I will live longer cuz I laugh a lot. I guess that makes me a fun loving person. Ya, I think I should also mention my addiction for popcorn and gummies.
PHILOSOPHY
- Your biggest risk is taking no risks
And also this very famous quote from Mahatma Gandhi:
"Keep your thoughts positive because your thoughts become your words. Keep your words positive because your words become your behavior. Keep your behavior positive because your behavior becomes your habits. Keep your habits positive because your habits become your values. Keep your values positive because your values become your destiny."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I just really want to pay it forward...
I decided that 2014 was the year to try new things, so here it goes... I quit my job as an account executive at a very prestigious advertising agency in Montreal to go travel the world. My goal is to learn and teach how traveling can be accessible to everybody.I have hosted a few couchsurfers back home and would love to live this experience abroad. I believe it's the best way to immerse yourself in a new culture and discover things that only a local can show you!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've had couchsurfers at my place a couple of times...
Actually my roommate has band members that are on tour across Canada over at our place all the time.
During my travels, I have met a lot of fellow travellers who have marvelled over the wonders of couchsurfing. Whenever I visit a new city, I try to stay with friends or friends of friends. This way I feel at home in every new place I visit.
Interests
I love the outdoors and trying new stuff all the time. Even when I cook, I try to do a different recipe every time. There is just so much out there to experience and learn... I guess that makes me a bit ADD :) I like to challenge myself, which is why I've been really into crossfit lately. Not only is it a mental and physical challenge with myself, I love the fact that I get to engage with a strong and loving community of like-minded people.

Music, Movies, and Books
Indie, pop, rock, house, dance... Any kind of music really, as long as I hear it in the background at all times.
Books that have inspired me: The Alchemist (cliché, but I read it at a time in my life where it just made so much sense) and Life of Pi.
Movies: I'm the worst with movies. I have to memory whatsoever for stuff I watch. I can honestly watch the same movie twice and not know what's gonna go down. I love series though, that I can watch at my own pace (e.i. marathon weekend of Mad Men hahaha)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
1. Watching the Meteor shower that happens in August from all kinds of crazy places these past few years: Home, Greece, Fiji and Austria
2. Putting myself outside of my comfort zone by travelling alone around the world, competing in Spartan races, ...
3. Quitting my job to travel around the world
4. Launch a travel website (www.nomadjunkies.com)
5. Travel to South Korea to surprise my best friend for her 25th birthday
