About Me
I live downtown in a magical city. Photography has been a part of my life for a long time, I am in love. I'm also in love with my husband, who you will meet if you surf with us. Our latest Couchsurfing journey was a year off from school to backpack through Central America.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We've hosted people in our apartment in SF - really fun experiences and we are improving our hosting each time. During our trip in Central America we were the surfers and it was an amazing way to travel - more than free accommodations, the perfect way to be immersed in a local culture with the incredible members of this community.
I started the couchsurfing project just shortly before our 2008/2009 trip began - but we got to host some great surfers who made us fall in love with this community. As surfers we were constantly amazed at the friendliness and hospitality of everyone we met, whether they hosted us or not. It fueled my desire to be an ever better host in SF.
The world is a book, and those who don't travel read only one page.

Interests
I'm setting my sights on a fusion of travel and photography, someday I'll work from abroad. I like spending time outdoors, in nature or some of SF's beautiful city parks, camping, hiking and biking and whatnot. I love living in the city where friends and fun are, where any food in the world I may desire is less than 7 miles away, where a city so grand can feel so small.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like nearly any kind of music, I love to read, and I don't get a lot of time for movie watching.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Jumping the reef in Belize for deep sea fishing, then surfing the waves back in.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share some tips and knowledge about photography + cameras, I can help you with your Spanish or English, show you how to stitch a rip, and we can trade books!
I wont say I can teach you how to cook, but it's something I love and we can teach/learn from each other, Im always up for learning new (vegetarian) dishes!
I've taken up yoga, so some morning stretches together would be fun. I also need to improve my chess and cribbage skills so I can get a one up on Ian.
And I always appreciate friends who let me take their pictures!
