About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I would like to meet more people involved in the CS community in Philadelphia, host some people, and stay with amazing people on upcoming journeys.

ABOUT ME

I, like many people, find it impossible to adequately fill out self summaries or even attempt to represent myself through a static profile. This is my resume and you should take it with a grain of salt. I am always changing and not the same person today that I was yesterday. I could write 1,000 profiles and they would all describe me and yet somehow not describe me at all. We could use some adjectives to describe me though. I am a thinker, adventurer, philosopher, teacher, skeptic, social critic, student, writer, polyamorous, transhumanist world traveler. I am a cosmopolitan urbanite, an intellectual, a post-modern radical that pushes the envelope and smiles when the chains of ancient traditions and morals are swept away by the current of an ever changing world. Yet, I am a man of the wild. I spend extensive amounts of time in the backcountry, exploring, learning, being, growing, forgetting and remembering. I can be both high tech and minimalist. You could find me engaged in long term computer projects or scientific endeavors. You might also find me on the peaks of mountains reading Lao Tzu in the refuge of a snow shelter. I love being outside and everything to do with being active. I love adventure and being part of the land and the ecosystem. I also love being in a rational, progressive modern world full of knowledge and opportunity. I know there is a way to make this contradiction a compliment. I hope to meet people who are truly open to truth, beauty, ideas, adventure, nature and intellectual pursuit. There is so much to see, so much to experience, so much to learn, teach and share.

PHILOSOPHY

To live is to grow and experience that which makes us uncomfortable and challenged. In our comfort zones we will never self-actualize.
