About Me

Hello, lovelies. I'm a bit new to Couchsurfing but I love this idea.

I'm currently a student at Weber State University. (Medical Student)
I'm a very chill and down to Earth person who loves art, music, intellectual conversations and being silly with friends and family. I'm very much an open-book. I'm a little shy when you first meet me but it fades quickly.
I'm a very clean and respectful person. I don't have any kids, I've never been married and I'm not into drugs or the like. It's just not my thing. Light drinking is fine, however and I do that rarely.

I love to cook, sing, dance, experience cultural diversity, learning new things, making new friends, finding like-minded souls and I have a bit of a soft hippy heart. (But I don't smell of Patchouli and I do shower and wear deodorant, don't worry. haha!)

I like to work hard and play hard. I'm a kid at heart and always curious. I've never lost that sense of wonder.

Currently I am working at a place where I do robotics. We help make the robots that ensure safety and deployment of airbags and safety mechanisms for all makes and models of vehicle. (It's a job while I'm in school.) I often work side jobs doing healing work, readings, working with those with autism and varying conditions and I occasionally pick up cases as a consultant with the local PD.

If you've got any questions please feel free to ask. :) I'll answer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am a voracious learner and I want to see and feel the world.
Honestly, my next destination will likely be Denmark. I want to see where some of my lineage came from. I also have an online friend over there that I'd like to visit. Ask me if you want to know more and I'll gladly tell you.

The other places I intend to visit are Hawaii, New Zealand, Spain and England. I'm open to going other places as well if I end up with some couch surfing friends.

I love anything infused with heart and soul. Anything that inspires my spirit. I'm a very non-judgmental person.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all kinds of music, except country and polka. (Because, no. Just no. haha!)
Other than that.. bring on the EDM, anything with thick bass, classical, metal, cultural music, music from the soul and too many genres to list.

I love seeing people perform live music that they pour their soul into. It's the only way to go. I am a little partial to old Jazz at times and I love to sing it. I rarely perform now days but I used to do that quite a lot.

I am a movie fan. I love the perception shifting movies, documentaries and such but I'm game for most things except horror.

I love to read and I couldn't pick a favorite book if I tried. I'll think about which to list soon.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Truly, I think that in my heart I have a passion for working with autistic children and adults and those with different abilities and skill sets. I recently worked with children who were severely autistic and I (having just enough slight autism, myself) really can tune into them. I have a way to connect to them and their families that isn't something I can explain. It's not something that I can put into words and it's through casual interaction and space sharing. I've helped several families connect to their children like they have never been able to before. One family in particular had a son that was severely autistic. To the point of not being able to look at them, speak or be around many people for long. In his own world. After a month and a half of random dinners with the family, I suddenly saw a difference. After two months he started to acknowledge others around him and look at them. I don't know how amazing it is to some, but to me.. it touched my heart that I could help. He's continued to this day to slowly make progress. I'm just a different sort, a healing facilitator at times.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would be glad to help clean, cook and shop whenever possible. I'd love to share good conversation and laughs. Meals and sight-seeing if you're into going with is often fine with me but not by any means required or expected. I'm always glad to share whatever I can. Also, pure respect and quiet. Let me know what you prefer and we'll make it work so we both know what to expect when I arrive.
