About Me

ABOUT ME

Scatterbrained, ludicrous, adventurous, energetic, and a dive bar kinda person. I'm open to many new experiences, but I also value a few traditions. I come from a very cultured city, so I definitely enjoy having the company of others that are more than willing to share theirs, even in silence. Most of my time is spent outdoors exploring, reading, getting lost, and maybe having a libation or two. I'm a pretty frugal person(college student budget), so I almost always find a way to do something free, low-cost, sliding scale/PWYC, but don't mind shelling out some cash for an authentic reason.

PHILOSOPHY
Love yourself first or everyone will love you last.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had lots of couch surfing experiences, with travelers, and it's been quite fun. I enjoy hearing stories of their journey to New Orleans and them showing everyone the joys of the city! My hosting and surfing experiences have been amazing and I treat my hosts the way I treat my guest: with respect, genuine hospitality, and a vast knowledge of everything random I know.

Interests

I bike around town, write in my secret journal, go fishing. and just relax amongst nature. I'm into urban farming, composting, and vermiculture! I'm almost always reading Stephen King or getting lost around town. I tend to talk through a strange arrangement of topics: food, social injustice, performing art, my hate for acrylic paints, etc. Cooking is a passion of mine, as well as craft beer.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I biked from New Orleans to Baton Rouge(100 miles)!

Disclaimer: I'm still trying to figure out why I even thought that was a good idea.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, I'm a baker, so I could teach others how to bake in the conventional kitchen with unconventional items. Haha. I can also teach you how to survive in New Orleans during Mardi Gras or any crazy time, how to dance, and how to properly do a keg stand!
I'd love to learn anything that anyone is willing to teach me, as long as I don't die trying it for the first time. I'm like a sponge, and I learn at least one thing from (almost) everyone I meet.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my culture(New Orleans), books, and some beer if you'd like. I'm a from a culturally diverse city and I can chat you up on crooked politics, cook real Creole or Cajun food(they are NOT the same).
