ABOUT ME

I have set down roots in Missoula. I was lucky enough to travel a fair amount in my young twenties. One thing I learned was that the experience was much richer when I was able to meet some local people. More generically, i am liberal, care about the environment, open space, compassion for the unfortunate. Too often I am tied down with work.

I just don't have much of a chance to travel any more - but that doesn't mean i still can't meet the good people who come through Missoula.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had several folks come stay with me and I always have good conversations and enjoy meeting new people.

Reading wonderful books, art, good beer and wine, and deep friendships. I "do" kayaking, rafting, skiing, telemarking, fly-fishing, hunting, hiking, enjoying the outdoors.

David James Duncan, Ivan Doig (both authors i recommend as a prelude to Montana's beauty). I love funny movies, Life is full of drama, and i enjoy a comedy more than a drama. Music - Jazz, blue grass, anything that touches emotion.

Spent the night atop a high volcanic peak during a lightning storm, then watched the sun rise as the sky cleared the next morning next to a true friend.

I am trained in environmental science and law. I have worked tracking owls on snowshoes through the midnight forest, i have prosecuted criminals for Missoula County. I would love to learn how to balance roots and wings.
