About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel young and make it beautiful :.-)

ABOUT ME

Imagine a tall guy who dresses like someone from the 1920's. Or like an aristocratic post-apocolyptic punk... depends on the day really. In fact, imagine a 23 year old square who essentially likes everything an 87 year old woman does. I am quite anachronistic. I have grown up in and experienced so many radical places and as a result I love a little bit of everything and everywhere feels like home. I appreciate all forms or culture. I really love my family alot. I must say that I am the kind of guy that prefers more intimate setting rather than crazy settings. I would rather have a small candle lit dinner party with wine, lounge music and honest converation rather than going to some big crazy hot-spot. I mean, Iv been known to cut a rug, dont get me wrong, I mean, iv been known to smoke tobacco and watch "The Golden Girls" until 8:30 PM. So clearly I can throw down, but still...I think that my intimate settings preference says alot about me. I am simply a man who is head over heels in love with every aspect of being alive and I love to experience this life to the fullest. Whoever you are, I just know that You and I will create some astronomically stellar memories.

PHILOSOPHY

"I want to live my life... not record it"

I believe that this life is flawless, even when sometimes it seems that it is not. And I have seen enough flaws to know what flawed is. But no matter what, the world goes round', love prevails, progression never stops, and beauty happens. I should also mention that I really love this quote from our former First lady Jackie Kennedy. Some people get so caught up in wanthing to photograph everything for the sake of maintaining that moment so they can look back at it and live it again in the form of a photograph. I have nothing against photographs at all, I adore them! But when I am somewhere beautiful, I never assume that I must photograph it because it is my last time there. The standard I set for myself is that there is no short supply of opportunity and beauty. I dont want to distract myself with recording beauty or remembering it, I just want to live it. Join me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Oh however I can. I have already donated, but I will participate by answering everyone and showing them a great time if they visit my neck of the woods. And of course my contributions also come in the form of being the best couch surfer I know how to be. I really treasure candid words, respect, honesty, and above all balance.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Officially; using this site I have surfed with a few wonderful hosts through-out Paris, & one fantastic host in Boston, and with a great man from Chicago .But unofficially (before my knowledge of this site) I have heaps of couch-surfing. From the counter-cultural Squatters of Amsterdam to the quaint beautiful homes of small cities through-out the Netherlands. I feel very comfortable staying and sharing with like minded people who also believe that this life is flawless.

Oh man, this question is too much. I don't like to wear my heart on my sleeve when movies and music comes up because I feel like that is almost a bit of an intimate part of me because it says a great deal, also it almost seems exploitative just to throw them up on a screen without discussion, but here are some films I really like.

__________Books__________

Reading is not much of a place for fiction books for me, so generally I am a non fiction guy, but having said that I have read fiction that has brought me to my knees. Michael Cunninghams "The Hours" for instance, or Gore Videls "The Judgment of Paris"

...all though I love a good fiction read... I get my fix of fiction from Film.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I fly for free with Southwest Airlines cause my mom is a flight attendant. There have been times when I will wake up in the morning and want to see my brother in San Diego so I hop on a flight to California. My mom will call and just say meet me in Chicago and BLAM. I am in Chicago. I am alot like Edward Nortans character from Fight Club, just without that depression and emotional issues :- ) Flying for free lets me see and do alot of wonderful things.

I once rode the night bus in Paris. =o)

I once got mugged at knife point on the night bus in Paris. =o)

This site does not have enough memory in its servers to continue and my fingers dont have the fortitude. The bones in my fingers would break from over-typing if I tried to type amazing experiences. Every waking moment. There.

I truly believe that everyday is the most perfect thing that has ever happened to me. Even having knives to my throat. Everything is everything and nothing happens in vein.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach me everything you know,I am a great listener. I am anxious to learn. We can share these wonderful things about each-other over Coffee, wine, tomatos, air, anything. I love food living, teaching, learning, but above all I love the balance of sharing.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, France, Mexico, Netherlands, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
