About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To make the world a happier place, one smile at a time!

ABOUT ME

Hola amigos!

I'm a laid back guy who loves exploring new places, going on adventures, learning new things, and meeting new people!

PHILOSOPHY

There are those who look at things the way they are, and ask why? I dream of things that never were, and ask why not? - Robert F. Kennedy

Pura Vida.
Do what makes you happy.
Experiences are more important than material possessions.
Help other's out for no reason, and make people smile
Learn something new every day
Worry less, live more

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have had a good amount of travel experience, but I've never couchsurfed before. A few friends have tried it, and i've only heard great things about the experience so looking forward to both hosting and surfing for the first time!

Interests

Solid Conversation, celebrating life and going out with friends

Traveling and learning about the world and different cultures

I have a bit of an obsession with food, and eating in general.

Thai Basil Chicken is my absolute favorite dish on the planet.

In the past couple years or so, i've taken a liking to cooking and love learning how to make new dishes.

Love being outside in nature, and exploring new places

Thoroughly enjoy singing and dancing, however this can be rather problematic as i'm not particularly good at either.

I bought some toe shoes (Vibram Five Fingers) about a year ago, and ever since i've become a huge advocate of the minimalist running movement.

Playing sports (Ultimate Frisbee, Soccer, and Volleyball are a few of my favorites)

Watching sports (Most everything: Tennis, Basketball, Football, Cricket Soccer)

Music, Movies, and Books

Well, all the Harry Potter books. Randomly read a bunch of business, Social & Organizational Psychology/Inter-personal relations and behavioral econ books.

Really listen to all types of music, but if i had to pick a genre i guess it would be more indie-ish. Recently taken a liking to World music, so have been listening to stuff from all over.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Studied abroad in Sevilla, España for 4 months!

Went on a volunteer trip to Kenya to teach kids how to play Ultimate Frisbee summer 2012

Worked at Outback Steakhouses all over Southeast Asia for a summer internship

Teach, Learn, Share

Traveled all over the world in the past year, so hopefully have some interesting stories to share
