About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Taking in Pakistan one day at a time, searching for my calling in life, and hopin' to make tons of music and friends along the way! Above all, I try my level best to appreciate the little things.

ABOUT ME

I'm a precocious 22-year-old who's originally from Houston, TX, but slummin' it in Pakistan for now. A musician, scribe, and a dreamer, I'm working in communications and media with a passion for digital journalism.

Social sciences are love, and I'm always ready for an esoteric discussion about culture, politics, music, or whatever tickles your pickle.

I love interacting with new people, especially with those who are from different backgrounds and/or different parts of the world. There's a plethora of perspectives and stories and insight out there, and I wanna experience all of it!

I sing like Damien Rice and wear hipster jeans. But don't label me, bro.

PHILOSOPHY

Carpe diem, Live and Let Live, and various other cliches.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I don't have my own place at the moment so I can't host, but I'm always available to meet you for coffee and show you around the city as best as I can.

Plus, I love engaging with the local CS community wherever I am because you're all generally very cool people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfing has been a great learning experience. Unfortunately, I've only surfed in Islamabad, but I hosted this one guy who's currently riding his motorcycle from the UK to Australia!

Interests

Philosophy, theology, literature, political theory, anthropology, arts, independent music, journalism, film, and digital media.

And the ukulele! And stories! Makin' you laugh!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I fed a black bear grapes once! (True story)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some Urdu if you promise to learn more than just the curse words! I can teach you music, if I have my ukulele or if you have instruments lying around.

But I would much rather learn from you! Teach me your language, your local customs, your culture, just about anything you wish to.

CouchSurfers have taught me all sorts of sensible traveling habits and given me lots of insight on hospitality.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I will most likely have my ukulele with me, so I can sing you some tunes. I can also make the most delicious scrambled eggs you've ever had. And I can regale you with some interesting stories of my travels!
