ABOUT ME

My name is Saige, I am from New Zealand and am coming to Latin America in July for a year or two. I love travelling, meeting new people, and experiencing new things - I want to try everything at least once! I am friendly, I laugh a lot, and loudly and enjoying joking around as well as talking about life, the universe and everything else. Meeting others with similar mind sets as me is very fulfilling - it matters who your with, not where you are.

My main goals and desire to come to Latin America is to learn Spanish, see historical architecture and go through walks in the jungles and forests.

My passions in life are learning Spanish, art, music, travelling, nature, seeing animals, smiling, making others laugh, fruit, swimming, family.

Change and self awakening is on the horizon.

I believe in enjoying the silence.

I am painfully open and honest. I love getting to know people and like asking a lot of questions.

If you feel life is meaningless and unfair; and that no matter how hard you try to make it better, that it will ALWAYS be bad and a continuous struggle, then why not do what you want? Go where u want? Seeing as it will be bad anyway, what have you got to lose?

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have couch surfed all over the world and when I came home I put that I could host but never had any requests which was sad! COVID and lock downs probably didn’t help with that haha.

I am really interested in finding local people to explore places with and having a cultural and language exchange. When I stay with you I promise to help with cleaning and cooking.

I would love to stay with some people who are interested in doing a bit of travel and exploring too - especially to jungles and remote places - I can contribute to petrol so we can explore together 💙

Also I am sorry if when I send a request it seems a bit short or in personal - sometimes when I use my phone it is really hard to write everything I want to. If I send u a request, please trust it's because I find you interesting and want to take a step into your wildside. Sometimes I will request a emergency stay as well. Often I do not know where I will be next or when, so it is hard to organise these things advance and for that I am sorry!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I feel like couch surfing has changed my life. It's opened my eyes to a whole new world and way of travelling that I never thought was possible to be apart of. Sometimes it takes just meeting one person to change ur whole outlook and perspective of life... To push u to do things u never thought possible!

Centres d'intérêt

Learning Spanish, Fine arts (mostly painting, but also love photography and drama) animals, travelling of course, meeting new people with a story to share, wine and chats. To have a big meal with friends is special.

I love hitch hiking and living with the bare essentials. All you really need is food. I want to have no plans.. I want to just... Go. Find. Seek. Work. Live...

I like mostly progressive rock, or 'stoner rock ' tool, a perfect circle, Alice in chains, puscifer, deftones but also soft rock.. rhcp, areosmith, presidents of the usa.. but can listen to anything really! movies, honestly, I love musicals and disney! yes.. girly...

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Ride a quade bike on mykonos. San vino, running of the bulls, nudist beaches in croatia. I watched the sunset and sunrise for 3 days staright in ibetha. My most recent adventure was to Australia and riding a motorcycle through the country was definitely a highlight. The best experiences have always come when u meet those people who u just connect with.
