CURRENT MISSION
Serving the Goddess! Nurturing Community! Living close to Mother Earth! Living Yoga!
ABOUT ME
We are SandD, Sailee and Daniel. We live in the Coastal Mountains just 20 min east of Coos Bay. It is a 13 mile drive from town ending in 1 mi. of gravel road. We live at the end of our road in a tiny house! So we really don't have room for you inside, but you are welcome to put a tent on our pad. We can offer you spring water straight from the earth, magnificent lush forest surrounding (tho there are other humans quite close by and we hear them often), we love to cook local and foraged food, and share food, good company and our lovely Coos Area. We are most likely to host you if you can stay at least 2 nights. We like to share our life, and learn about others adventures!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have been absent for a long while, but just getting back on here! Some years back, when I lived in town, I hosted those travelers that found themselves here in the misty town of Coos Bay. Also, by welcoming those inclined to gather, to meet under the light of the full moon and celebrate one another's talents and skills :)
If you're thinking of staying with us, we highly recommend requesting for 2 nights minimum. Daniel and I love to take people into the forest, or to the beach, or we have suggestions for you if you prefer to go out on your own. Just send a message, and we can see what your plans are! We love hosting people to have a fun experience!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've hosted many people and am surprised by how many people are traveling through Coos Bay! So far not one negative experience! I am so glad to be part of this community of open minded, generous people :) I don't even feel like I need to travel anymore! The world comes to my house :) That being said, you never know, I might end up at your door :)
Interests
I love living natural. I try to eat local, live local. Nonetheless, I can't help being drawn out to experience other ways of living, other cultures, other food. I love to eat, to try new foods and experience really excellent food. I also love to cook, and love making up my own recipes. I absolutely love being in and with nature, but also really appreciate the amazing art and creations of we humans (really just another form of the beauty of nature and life as expressed thru humans).

Music, Movies, and Books
Many, I love Anne Rice's less known works, John Steinbeck, Babara Kingsolver, Kahlil Gibran, Aldous Huxley, "Another Roadside Attraction," and those are just a few off the top of my head.
I don't watch too many shows or movies these days, but used to love Firefly, Arrested Developement, Dr Who, Steven Universe. My guilty pleasure is the show Grace & Frankie :P
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I recently visited a glass exhibit in Seattle where the artist created huge, intricate glass sculptures and "glass gardens." The gardens were so beautiful, seeing them filled my heart with love.
I have seen the last of the truly giant redwoods, as well as many of the last of the giant trees. I live here in an amazing, endangered temperate rainforest.
Teach, Learn, Share
Yoga-- I teach, learn and share it with anyone interested :) Just started playing with contact yoga aka Sacred Geometry Yoga. Message me about it if you're curious :)
Also, My partner and I lead people on Restorative Retreats, taking people into the heart of the ancient forest for spiritual awakening through yoga and meditation. We are happy to take couch surfers on one of our retreats if you give us notice. If you're interested, let me know in your request and I can give you more details :) Our website is www.mossylotus.com
