ABOUT ME

Am back at sea for a few months again..

.. I work as a deckhand on Greenpeace ships.

Inherited a compulsive travelling and exploring gene... born in Rio, then 'grew up' (well maybe i should say lived a long time) in Australia. Have spent last 6and half years on road/ocean!

I am Usually found wandering and wondering.... more recently being blown by the wind across this planet - working on greenpeace ships and hitching acorss oceans and sometimes paid to sail! .

On land I usually end up in all sorts of weird n wonderful places.. with friends and strangers.. and in between

spontaneous, real, impulsive, loving, ever changing, sometimes confused, most of the time content in chaos and creation...

music: Not into commercial top40 stuff. That said I love most styles of music- from hip hop to world music. Love electronica, reggae and dub. Love quirky stuff. Love my Ipod.

Books: Currently obsessed with true survival and adventure stories. Just read 'in the heart of the sea' LOVED IT and 'Into the wild' AMAZING authors: Dr seuss (definately my fave), tom robbins, aldous huxely, george Orwell, bill bryson, fear and loathing in las vegas, love in time of cholera, vurt, tao of pooh, .

Movies: Bladerunner, One flew over cuckoos nest, blues brothers, akira, dr strangelove (most of kubriks films), Breakfast at Tiffanys, Mary Poppins, Underground, Betty Blue, Delicatessen, Cinema paradiso, Clerks, Pi, Y tu mama tambien, donnie darko.. many more generally found in arthouse section

Am gonna try to impress u now. and am also gonna put more than one amazing thing.. as i have experienced many amazing things...

A definate highlight was trip down southern ocean then into antartic waters amongst majestic icebergs and yes saw penguins, snow petrels, killer whales, sealions.. and yes its another world..

the sky from the middle of the pacific.. stars are so bright.. just crossed pacific again this time from mexico to nz.. on greenpeace ship... good times..

Dealing with my fathers death, january 2006 - he went missing after climbing a volcano in Argentina,Patagonia in January. i had to fly there and after a 10 day search they found his body. Luckily he had died instantly after a storm. The location was super beautiful.. sad as it was my father died following his passion - climbing volcanos. I found a strength i didnt know i had and it definately changes your perspective.

Other things: Sailing to Iceland on Greenpeace ship, seeing killer whales and blue whales and midnight sun, Being in Aceh after Tsunami spening 1 month delivering aid, sailing from Bali to Borneo and seeing orangatans swinging in the trees, sailing across pacific stopping off in Cook islands and fishing with local islanders, Burning man gathering in Nevada desert, and on it goes.. ..
