Overview
About Me
Rural, northwestern Pennsylvania is home, but I've also lived in Iowa, Florida, Virginia, North Dakota, West Virginia, New Mexico, Oregon, Idaho, and currently Utah.
Attended the University of Virginia, majored in Anthropology and English. Served with AmeriCorps for a handful of years.
Obtained a Master of Community and Regional Planning degree at the University of Oregon, focusing on community development.
Currently, I work as a facilitator within the environmental/natural resource fields and also instruct within the City & Metropolitan Planning Department at the University of Utah.
I'm basically the accumulation of all of those that I've loved, all of the wondrous locations I've ventured to, and all of the conversations that have wrecked my perspective. I take pleasure in simplicity, enjoy making a fool out of myself, and try to find the beauty in everyone.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Started off by surfing overseas, then hosted out of my dorm room during undergrad. Fell in love with the concept, and I love to get together with Couchsurfers as much as possible. Some of the most wonderful of friends have been made from this beautiful community.
I'm drawn to this community for the cultural immersion that stems from stepping into a stranger's home. The benefits should even out among the two; with each grasping a hold of a newer truth that sticks with them past when they eventually depart from one another.
