About Me
Welcome to today's show.
On today: Meet Saimi and Henri
Alright..
Hi, these are we. Very outgoing half estonian-finnish brother and sister who love traveling, weird humour, Star Wars, skiing/snowboarding, everything northern, fishing and hiking/camping in the wild.
Things that keep us going - garlic bread, reindeers, Karelian pies and näkkileipä ❤️
This used to be only Saimi's account but since we were always taking care of our guests together, we decided to join forces. Saimi studies violin at the Norwegian Academy of Music and Henri is doing his masters in political science at the University of Tartu. Since Saimi studies abroad, Henri will be the one who will most propably host you now. (If you're lucky, maybe you see Saimi too..)
PHILOSOPHY
Free your mind, the rest will follow.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We hope that we can give the people visiting our home town a different perspective of our culture, city sights and everyday life. This is what makes a place special - it's (extra)ordinary way of everyday functioning and places that only locals know to talk about.
We also find couchsurfing a very great way to travel ourselves. As we like to give something to couchsurfing community, we'd like to gain something from it too.

Music, Movies, and Books
As multicultural persons our tastes have a very wide range. This leads to not having a specific favourite. We keep surprising ourselves all the time.
Books, movies - anything with a personality or something one couldn't expect.
We both play also a lot of folk music and wouldn't mind exchanging some tunes ;)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Both - Been at the top of the highest building on Earth.
Henri - Saw a moose once
Saimi - Started playing the Estonian bagpipe. Built a violin. Danced around an underwater roundabout.
Teach, Learn, Share
Henri can teach you a lot of funny finnish things, talk to you about fishing, history, survival, languages or alcohol.
Saimi could teach you how to say "I'm a little refrigerator" in 22 languages!
If you play folk music, we could exchange tunes!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Adventures. We like meeting new people and especially sharing our experiences with other people! We're both also open to discussion on different topics.
If there are musical instruments found at the Host's then why not spice up the stay with a great evening jam!
