ABOUT ME
American born - global citizen
I just relocated to Paris and studying the language and culture of the land. I do not have a permanent place yet to host travellers.
I am genuinely interested in people who offer a different perspective on life. I have a thirst for experiencing new cultures and ways of living. I live to love and give back. I am a student of life who has my own tune to walk to.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing offers a unique experience of visiting a city through the eyes of a local as well as being economical for my pocketbook.
I want to know more about people and other outlooks on life. I want to learn from other people and to better be able to contribute to the whole of this planet.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was in the highlands of Guatemala, at Lake Atitlán, to aid a rural village that was devastated by a landslide. The experience was sobering and I so much respect for those indigenous people. At this location the scenery was the most peaceful location I have ever been to, I hope to one day return.
On a trip to work with those living on the streets in Liepāja, Latvia, I found the location of massacres of Jew during WWII as well as the old ruins of the Soviet bunkers. The sombre experience was one of the most memorable for me because it brought the textbook terrors to a tangible state. As I wandered the labyrinth of tunnels under the citadel I was overwhelmed by the thought of what had occurred here. In all, I celebrated seeing the ruins crumble into the Baltic Sea for it symbolized a defeat of a dark time, however, the ruins are still visible like a scar keeping the memories alive as to never forget what occurred.
