ABOUT ME

My friends Jeff and Katie have urged me to join this community of itinerant extravagant, lovely human beings.

It's been a while since I've traveled much and I hope the availability of friendly folks in some out of the way places will be a conduit to seeing more of the world !!

I whistle out of tune, like to practice foreign languages and go off on rants and comedic riffs a lot. People might say I am funny, knowledgeable and nice.

I like to have a beer with friends, beer alone. I'm vegetarian. I like art and good music and thunderstorms and all sorts of things. I would be just as entertained to see your town's library as I would to see the local hipster hangouts, dive bars, caves, candy factories, and dinosaur sculptures.

Physically, I'm short and a little stocky, but it provides padding for when I fall over, being accident prone and all. I like ice skating, hacky-sack, kiteboarding, xc skiing, rollerblading, biking, camping and hiking. Never tried rock climbing.

If you have any thoughts about buddhism, meditation, strange coincidences or anything of that nature I am more than willing to discuss. Sometimes you may have to barge in if I get on too long of a soliloquy, but that rarely happens ;-)

PHILOSOPHY

I think we should all practice letting go and stop trying so hard. But failing that, we should try hard at things that make others and ourselves feel good and leave our corner of the earth a little more shiny.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have a nice red leather couch and a couple of spare bedrooms you could also try out. If I come to your town, a couch or even some guidance about the local scene would be most appreciated.
