About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Just keep on moving and learning

ABOUT ME

Well I'm a tall , skinny man from the west of Ireland whose been toying with facial hair for the last few years, much to everyone's amusement.
I grew up in a small village in the west of Ireland, moved to London when I was 21 and I've never thought of home as a permanent place since. I'm completely easy going and don't think very seriously of myself . I find it funny when other people get upset by little things gone wrong and enjoy the company of people who can talk openly about anything. Which is a good way to be, when traveling you meet so many people with this outlook and for me that's one of its big attractions.
I hope that goes some way to describing myself, never had to do a CV before so that's my first attempt at answering that question!

PHILOSOPHY

self inprovement, to keep going with my own aspirations and not that of others. And try to find out what my aspirations are! Which seem to change with each new location. And figureing out my next location!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm hoping to make myself a lot more useful in the future, when i can find myself a place I want to live.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well I've been on this a while but I've only surfed twice, both times in the Philippines. I haven't had a chance to host yet, tough without a place of my own.
Outside of Couch Surfing Ive hosted and been a guest. usually people Ive met hitchhiking or on treks.

Interests

History and how it affects our world today. Sociology. Diving when I can afford it. Im trying to read more fantasy books but real life's too interesting. intermittently learning guitar. just started kickboxing, which is sweet but I'm out already with an injury. reading a lot of Spanish lately, it's like trying to solve a puzzle. Spending time with my friends whenever I get myself home.

Music, Movies, and Books

Anchorman, The other guys, Bernie, anything with Liam Neeson in it. Just seen Ted, fantastic! nothing too deep, just to be entertained
George Orwell, Cormac McCarthy, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Christopher Hitchens and a lot of sociology books
Bob Dylan, the Beatles, The Band, you get the idea

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

New Zealand , if you can go anywhere only once in your life this should be it. Cant put it into words or even a photo or a thousand of them! I have never and will probably never see anything like it again unless I move there which just might happen!

Teach, Learn, Share

Well I'm real good at trying to learn new skills but I haven't finished many of them. learning guitar and Spanish slowly at the moment. But if you need any advice about traveling I've got quite a lot to give.
