About Me
CURRENT MISSION
on to Australia!
ABOUT ME
I was born and raised in Linz, Austria. At the moment I study mobile computing at university. So you could call me a tech-person. Still I believe that I haven't lost touch with the real world out there. To get some relief from all those ones and zeroes haunting me I do some relaxing archery for example.
I'd like to think of myself as a person who tries to understand the people he meets and see as much good in them as I can. Not judging by unconscious stereotypes is something I sometimes succeed in.
One way to widen that not-so-closed mind is to travel. And the best way to travel is couchsurfing.
That's why I'm here.
to be continued...
PHILOSOPHY
Oh come on, I am in my twenties! You don't really expect me to have a masterplan yet, do you?
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Everyone I get to talk with learns eventually about CS. It always comes up.
I will provide a couch as soon as I have a own flat.
I promise.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
August 2008 I surfed through the UK. It was a wonderful experience, I had great hosts and a lot of fun. I feel I have come a bit closer to the UK
I surfed the couches of The Thundera Collective in London, Jackson Lapes in Bradford on Avon, Andy Blair in Edinburgh, The Faslane Peace Camp in Faslane and Nathalie Menetrier in Limavady.
Interests
I am pretty much open to everything.
I would like to learn more about the ways people can share and cooperate. That includes open source, WWOOFing and Wikis for example.
Also I would love to learn more about meditation.
- yoga
- meditation
- technology
- traveling
- camping
- archery
Music, Movies, and Books
I think Terry Pratchett is hilarious.
The most important book of my childhood was certainly the Neverending Story by Michael Ende. It certainly influenced me a lot.
There is a weird attraction I feel to the situations Franz Kafka describes in his stories, especially in The Castle.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The sunrise at the north-coast of Australia in an airplane. It was simply breathtaking.
Teach, Learn, Share
Can someone show me some Yoga? Or other meditation-techniques?
I am always happy to teach German. And I can teach you how to read Cyrillic.
Countries I’ve Visited
Croatia, Czech Republic, Germany, Greece, Italy, New Zealand, Spain, Taiwan, United Kingdom
Countries I’ve Lived In
