À propos de moi

CURRENT MISSION

To complete 30 life goals by age 30... (Currently seeing 50 states)

ABOUT ME

I'm an ambitious nomad on a mission to complete 30 life goals by age 30. I'm currently traveling state to state to see all 50. I'm filming and documenting as I go for my webseries about completing the 30 by 30 list.

PHILOSOPHY

Do life's to-do list today. Don't wait until you're old to tackle your bucket list. Make it happen.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've met too many people that think their life has to be ordinary. They don't think they can do things they dream of, they don't feel they can move to a location they yearn to live. I want to prove that things can be done and anybody can achieve the extraordinary. I'm filming my journey to complete 30 life goals by age 30 as I travel state to state. Do life's to-do list today!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've more or less been a nomad for a few years now. I've stayed on some friend's couches in Texas, Colorado, New York and Massachusetts. I JUST signed up for this website. I've never stayed with strangers...yet.

Centres d'intérêt

I'm a multimedia storyteller (musician, filmaker/video producer, web designer, photographer). I love music--it was my minor in college. I've picked up the guitar a bit since traveling, but the drums are my weapon of choice. I'm in love with seeing new cultures and trying to put my footprints across the globe. Random interests: Indian food, Nintendo, Dream Theater, Beatles, snowboarding, pizza, cheese, rock climbing, traveling, having meaningful connections with people.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Studying abroad was the best choice I ever made. I spent a semester in Spain and travelled to France, England, Morocco and many cities/villages in Spain. While in Morocco, my friend and I decided to pay a random guy 60 euros each for him to drive us 8 hours into the desert to ride a camel into the sand dunes and spend the night under the vibrant African stars. We didn't trust him at first--his sales pitch was very sketchy and shady. But my friend and I decided if we are going to get kidnapped and killed... Well, that's a rad way to die! (jk) But, we gave in, and he was legit. It was an incredible experience. We talked to many African berber people that were VERY smart, but never educated. Their stories were very interesting, and also a bit sad.

I can teach:
I am a force for positivity with a mind-set that you can do anything in life if you work hard, learn and adjust as you go. I claim to be a multimedia storyteller and I'm currently using my video/music/editing/online skills to film and document my personal journey to achieve 30 life goals by age 30. Many people say "oh, I'll go for that big dream some day" but the dream keeps being put off. I'm all about doing life's to-do list today. Be crazy-be wreckless-be risky. If you fail, at least you fail as a bad*ss.

I want to learn:
I want to learn how to connect with more people. I can get stuck in my comfort zone, and feel timid in attempts to network out. I want to be a great conversationalist, and I can only do that with practice. I also want to figure out how to make my travel documentary-type lifestyle my source of income. I feel a bit lost in life, and I'd like to find myself as I venture across america.

I am trying real hard to be more comfortable with my Spanish. I'd love to talk in Spanish with people. It can help me grow as a spanish speaker, and it can offer native spanish speakers an opportunity to speak their language. Or if a fellow host/traveller is learning spanish, it can be an opportunity for them to strengthen their skills as well
