About Me
*** Right now in the process of moving countries and figuring out next steps - later happy to host again ***
CURRENT MISSION
Last 5 years: Combat global climate change by protecting rainforests in the Guiana Shield
ABOUT ME
I grew up close to nature and have always been passionate about protecting the environment. I love to build bridges between multiple perspectives and collaborate with people across borders. Together we can steer the world on course to a sustainable future, where all people can live in happiness and love to life in harmony with nature and with each other. Global problems need global solutions!
PHILOSOPHY
Choose love before fear as often as you possibly can in life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
It's wonderful both to welcome people into my life and to be welcomed by others.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
In 2009 I organized a "100 Days Moving Climate Campaign" with my friend Paulina from Mexico. We travelled this route without flying: South Korea - China - Vietnam - Laos - Thailand - Laos - Vietnam - China - Russia - Ukraine - Germany - France - Spain - Denmark. CS helped us a lot on the way! I've been hosting people in Sweden, and when I first moved to Boston CS was my way to build up a local network of friends.
Interests
I will be 65 years old in 2050. I'm planning to retire in a fair and sustainable world, and while living in the 'now', I'm doing all what I can to make it happen. I love to learn, explore, become more conscious, be curious and creative. Pick mushrooms and berries, climb trees and swim in very cold lakes.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies, music and books are important parts of cultural life today. I think that all kinds of cultural activities will play an even more central role in the sustainable future. Solving climate change will require a society with less materialistic consumption, but we'll have more time for family, friends, personal relationships and activities like reading, dancing, sports, and spending time in nature.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've been fasting for climate justice - gone completely without food and drinking only water for 43 days and 44 nights.
