Overview
About Me
Hello my name is Saki! I’m from Tokyo, Japan and am a university student. Now I’m traveling around the world by bicycle for about one year since August last year. I love nature, experiencing foreign culture like food, languages, and history, and meeting local people. Actually this is the first time I go abroad. At the beginning of my trip, I didn’t have any knowledge or experience about traveling (especially by bicycle:p) and spent a bit hard time. But that’s why now I have lots of funny stories to tell;) (For example, when I left Japan, I pretended to go to a supermarket, got out of my house, and then headed to an airport by bicycle. I have always been terrible with directions. I got lost in a desert and ate wild insects to avoid starving to death. When I lost my tent and almost cried about 20 people living in a village approached and helped me etc.) Also I have traveled in Central Asia, Middle East and Europe. If you are interested in some countries I have ever visited I can give you lots of tips about it!:)))
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To communicate with and make friends with those who like traveling. I want to share my experiences (sometimes funny, and sometimes crazy:p) about this long journey with someone:)

Music, Movies, and Books
When it comes to foreign songs, I love Maroon 5. Of course I love Japanese Anime and Manga as well.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My skin got sunburned very much because of a bicycle trip, and few people noticed I was Japanese. Most of them thought I was from South East Asia.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share experiences I have got in this trip and some tips about countries I have ever been to. I can also tell something about Japan like Japanese culture, history etc. (also Anime and Manga:) ) and teach some Japanese and English.
I want to learn about unique foreign culture. I think it is the most important for travelers to experience local culture and communicating with locals
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share many experiences and stories I have ever got in my trip with picture and tell some tips about traveling. Also I can cook meals for you.(If I can get enough ingredients, I can cook Japanese traditional cuisine!)
