Chi sono

On the road again

CURRENT MISSION

Finding a way of developing the power of teleportation.
Solo travelling across South East and East Asia, hopefully all the way up to Japan!

ABOUT ME

After 1 year and half in NZ, I'm back on the road, just my backpack, R.R (my key ring black bear from Vancouver), myself and I.

My type of humor : dad jokes and crappy puns.
I love to learn some random useless fun facts (the kind that make people think I'm smarter than I am, while I can't remember what I've had for lunch).

I can sometimes be very quiet at first (hello fellow introverts), but won't shut up if I get too comfortable (you don't want this to happen). Then I'll be quiet again because comfortable enough to share good silent moments.

I got bit once by a baby hedgehog and by a baby goat (unrelated events) but never developed superpowers related to that... Kinda disappointed.

PHILOSOPHY

"The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page" St Augustine of Hippo
"Not all those who wander are lost" JRR Tolkien
"All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us" Gandalf
"To stay is to exist, but to travel, is to live" Gustave Nadaud
"Be the change you want to see in the world" Gandhi

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I heard about CS from some friends of mine and I think meeting local people is wonderful and essential while travelling. It makes the difference between being a simple tourist and being a traveler.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had couchsurfing experiences from France, England, Wales, Ireland, Belgium, the Netherlands, Canada, New Zealand, Aussie and Viet Nam. All great! (Ok that guy with the puppets was a bit strange... but no biggie)
I wish to have many other experiences while travelling in Asia (if not involving puppets).
I'm also always happy to help fellow travelers (not necessarily always on CS) finding couches to crash on, sometimes my friend's, or mine when I occasionally have one :)

Interessi

Hiking is one of my favorite thing on earth.

Animal lover (yes, I'm one of those "vegetarian people"). I've worked in farms, ranches, sled dog kennel, and volunteered in wildlife rescue centers.
I lived in New Zealand for one year and half where I worked in ecological restoration and biosecurity.

Musica, film e libri

Music:
Really depends of "the mood" and vibes. I just don't want to say that I listen to "everything" because that's not true.

Movies:
Action, adventure, comedy...
The LOTR saga are my favorite movies. I also really enjoy superhero movies (MCU/DC).

Books:
Fantastic, fantasy, adventure, thriller, detective stories, suspense, comedy...

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

Impossible to chose only one, and I'm too indecisive for that anyway.
Life is pretty amazing itself!

Insegna, impara, condividi

I can teach you some French, of course :) Always cute and funny to hear foreigners trying to speak French, heheh.
And how to make chocolate mousse.

I like sharing my culture with others and I mostly love learning from other cultures.

Cosa posso offrire ai padroni di casa

Can't host rn, but when I will, good conversations and good food (I've been told I make decent pizza), maybe watch a movie. I'd like to show people around wherever I'll be living, like the cool library (where only the real cool kids hang out), some funny-looking trees, that cute cafe down the road with some hottie waiters, or where not to go to avoid getting food-poisoning.
Guests will have to bring their own toothbrush, tho.
