About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Enjoy the trip.
ABOUT ME
I was born in Florence and I grew up here.
I studied foreign languages in the high school, then I got a degree in librarianship! (an old dream...)
I've been working in a public library, on a bibliobus, in a wonderful university library... And now in a book firm, BUT I AM A LIBRARIAN ;)
The best part is that I get to travel A LOT for work!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am really interested in this big project! I love to meet people, to share travel experiences, to introduce or be introduced to different cultures.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have always tried to be welcoming and take care of the friends that came to my place. I have always tried to get in touch and communicate with local people when travelling. Isn't it couchsurfing?
Interests
I love to draw, to read, to sleep, to go walking, to travel, to go by bicycle. I could spend hours just watching an atlas...
Japanese food!
A beer and a couple of friends.
Comics, comics and comics.
To cook for my friends. And to listen to music while I'm cooking!
To play my guitar or my transverse flute sometimes, when I remember that the're slowly being covered by dust...
Old people's tales.
To go to concerts (especially reggae, or music I can dance to).
To go to the cinema (but I don't like dramatic films, thrillers or sad true stories: I can't stand them).
To walk in Florence's town centre in november, while tourists are away.
To sew! But it's so difficult...
I would like to have met Joe Strummer and Fosco Maraini in my life.

Music, Movies, and Books
FILMS:
Fight club, Strange days, Blade runner, Into the wild, the Star wars trilogy. Guy Ritchie's stuff.
Everything from Hayao Miyazaki and Tim Burton.
Old fantasy like Labyrinth or Ladyhawke.
Good science fiction. Well... I like science fiction movies in general, not only the good ones!
Splatter and B-movies.
MUSIC
The Clash. "The only band that matters", really.
70's punk, reggae, ska, rock in general.
Some popular folk music.
BOOKS
Michael Ende. He is the greatest storyteller I have ever read.
Diana Wynne Jones, Walter Moers, Jonathan Stroud and the Bartimaeus' trilogy. Books for children in general (I love children's literature).
J. L. Borges, Philip K. Dick, Edgar Allan Poe, Italo Calvino, Tolkien, Stefano Benni, Douglas Adams.
The Sandman comic series.
Neil Gaiman, Alan Moore, Dave Mckean, Mike Mignola, Ben Templesmith, Shinichi Hiromoto, Charles Vess, Stan Sakai... (as comic writers and artists too).
I also read many online comics. The internet is incredible.
Fosco Maraini, not only as a writer. Anyway his books are amazing...
Il Gattopardo, Sostiene Pereira, The Master and Margarita, El amor en los tiempos del cólera, Tokyo blues/Norwegian wood, Slaughterhouse-five... (and many more...)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Sunrise on a cliff in front of the Mekong river.
Istanbul express: three girls and a small green car through the Balkan States.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm really interested in learning different kinds of cooking. Shall we share?
