About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Living in Athens, studying Permaculture and working on a number of sustainable home & garden projects
ABOUT ME
Not much for self-promotion, but I'm pretty laid back, just like to have fun, love to write & play music and am always looking for other singer/songwriters to hang out with, but am also pretty serious and committed to human rights and environmental issues. Been living in Japan for 3 years, teaching english and playing music. Rode my bike across Japan this past summer (www.beejapan.org). Psychology major/english minor, things like wars and punctuation make little sense to me, oh, and I want to revolutionize the current global mass culture, starting with my own garden.
PHILOSOPHY
1-anything I need to live off is provided free by nature, all I have to do is figure out which mushrooms will kill me and which one will fill my tummy and mind
2-slower lifestyle pace, living life for the experience instead of charging through on consumer conveyor belt
3-hand-made, leg-power
4-as my buddy Rylan and I discovered in college, there are 2 kinds of people, one who just wants to live free and have a good time without harming other people, and the other who likes to tell the first guy he can't do that
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
back home now in GA, living in a new place with friend Sarah, looking forward to doing more traveling, hosting, WWOOFing, up for whatever
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Stayed with a couple of really great people while on BEE Japan 2009 Tour, really great experiences all around
Interests
originally composed music written from a place of inspiration, Japanese pottery, cycling, organic farming, other outdoor sports & activities, or just simply walking up to the top of the hills nearby and reading a book, when I am in cities I feel the need to drink--something about being overwhelmed by so much concrete, glass, and steel
